The RISE Lab researches various aspects of cancer prevention and health disparities in adolescents, young adults, and their families, including but not limited to: a) enhance the understanding of the individual, interpersonal, and social determinants of health that can contribute to behavioral change, particularly related to cancer prevention, b) to understand opportunities and challenges for using new communication technologies for health behaviors, and c) to develop and evaluate novel, theoretically-grounded methods and products that make use of communication technologies.

Our lab is dedicated to being a part of the solution when it comes to health related disparities and engage with communities (in-person and online) to understand their challenges, and create solutions.
